Dr. Kara Sheerer is originally from the Reynoldsburg, OH area. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Findlay and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Her professional interests and expertise include ophthalmology and equine and canine sports medicine and lameness.
At home, Dr. Sheerer is the owner of a Border Collie Mix named Cosmic and a Border Collie named Lore. In her free time she shows agility dogs and cutting horses.
Dr. Andrea Freshwater
Dr. Andrea Freshwater hails from the village of Arlington in Northwest Ohio. Dr. Freshwater is a graduate of The College of Wooster, where she studied Biology. She received her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Freshwater is certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture by the CuraCore Integrative Medicine & Education Center in Colorado.
Dr. Freshwater has special interests in wound care, diabetes management, stress-free visits for patients, and geriatric/palliative care.
Dr. Freshwater grew up showing and raising Percherons with a 4-H group (and has driven up through a 6 horse hitch). She has an Australian Cattle Dog named Figment and a cat named Mashpee. In her spare time, Dr. Freshwater enjoys bike riding, amateur astronomy, science fiction, and hunting for invertebrate fossils (although she still hopes to unearth a dinosaur someday).
